UFS101 - 1st Vocabulary Entry

1. Adjective :
a) Belligerent = A hostile or warlike attitude, nature or inclination.
b) Dapper =  A compliment made to someone who looks incredibly smart, sexy and stylish.

2. Adverb :
a) Obnoxiously = Describes something or someone that is very annoying or offensive.
b) Reproachfully = Expressing reproach or blame.                                                                                                                                                                 
3. Noun : 
a) Scarecrow = An object, usually a figure of a person in old clothes, set up to frighten  crows or other birds away from crops.
b) Hydrant = An upright pipe with a spout, nozzle, or other outlet, usually in the street, for  drawing  water from a main or service pipe, especially for fighting fires.

4.Verb :
a) Vanish = Disappear suddenly and completely. 
b) Yawn = To open the mouth wide with a deep inhalation, usually involuntarily from drowsiness,  fatigue or boredom.


5. Preposition : 
a) Underneath = Beneath and covered by. 
b)Versus = Against/as opposed to, in contrast to


6. Conjunction :
a) Although = In spite of the fact that, even though/ However, but. 
b) Whenever - At whatever time.
